Heavy Duty Safety Switches for Special Applications

Special Application Heavy Duty Safety Switches are designed for installation in corrosive, washdown, marine, wastewater, transportation, and other demanding industrial environments where standard enclosures may not provide adequate protection.

Special Application Heavy Duty Safety Switches — Overview

The product offering includes three enclosure types: 316 grade stainless steel, Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester (FRP), and Krydon™ fiberglass reinforced polyester, each available in fusible and non-fusible configurations for 600 Vac and 600 Vdc systems.

The 316 stainless steel models provide enhanced resistance to chlorides and aggressive chemicals, making them suitable for highly corrosive locations.

FRP-enclosed switches deliver corrosion resistance, impact strength, and protection against windblown dust, rain, and splashing liquids in NEMA 4X applications.

Krydon™ enclosures offer an additional level of protection against harsh industrial atmospheres through a specially formulated fiberglass reinforced polyester construction.

Across all enclosure types, the switches are UL Listed and include line-side barriers for personnel protection, equipment grounding provisions, and accessory support for neutral assemblies, fuse kits, hubs, and electrical interlocks. Current ratings range from 30 A through 600 A, depending on enclosure type and configuration.
