TeSys™ Tera Motor Management System

Introduction

TeSys™ Tera is a flexible and modular motor management system for motors with constant speed in low voltage applications. It provides complete protection, control, and monitoring capabilities for single-phase and three-phase AC induction motors, when used with short circuit protection and a contactor. TeSys Tera manages most critical processes by providing advanced motor protection, control, and feeder-level diagnostics, while reducing downtime and increasing productivity. TeSys T detects the status of the process, as it accurately monitors current, voltage, and power.

TeSys Tera enables digitization of motor controls, as it provides data to predictive analytics software for predictive maintenance capabilities. TeSys Tera is a sustainability motor management system with unique power monitoring capabilities for better energy management.

TeSys Tera can be installed in a Motor Control Center or in a low-voltage control panel. It integrates seamlessly into your automation system through five major communication protocols.

TeSys Tera carries all appropriate and necessary third party certifications.

To get detailed information about TeSys Tera, refer to document LVCATENTER_EN and document MKTED210011EN.

Configuration with TeSys Tera DTM and SoMove™ Software

SoMove™

The TeSys Tera DTM is a software module installed in an FDT container that uses open FDT/DTM technology, like SoMove™ software that contains DTMs for different devices. The TeSys Tera DTM Library enables the configuration, monitoring, control, and customization of the control functions of the LTMT main controller, as part of the TeSys Tera Motor Management System.

The TeSys Tera DTM provides the following capabilities to:

  • Configure the system through menu entries

  • Display parameters, alarms, and trips

  • Enable customization of operating modes

A library containing predefined motor control mode functions is available to:

  • Allow standardization

  • Avoid errors

  • Reduce motor starter setup times

By using logic functions, a custom programming mode makes it possible to:

  • Easily adapt these predefined motor control mode functions to the specific needs of your applications

  • Create custom functionality for applications different from the predefined control modes

To create special functions, a logic editor is incorporated in the configurator and allows a choice of two programming languages:

  • Function block

  • Structured text

The software can be downloaded for free from Schneider Electric website. A cable is required to establish a successful connection between the TeSys Tera LTMT main controller, the LTMTCUF operator control unit (HMI), and the PC running SoMove™ software.
